Welcome to the
Jeffersonville Rotary Club Web site.
Rotary is an
organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide
who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards
in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
We are a very
active civic organization, located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and
welcome you to contact us for more information concerning our special
events, programs, membership, and community grant programs.
Our meetings
are held each Tuesday at 12:00 noon, at the Holiday Inn Lakeview,
505 Marriott Drive.
2009 Speech Contest
Students will compete in a contest by preparing a four to six minute speech based on the Four Way Test and its application to life, leadership and service to others. While doing so, the students learn about Rotary and the Four Way Test. Our Club contest will be held on March 18th with the winner receiving a $100 prize, and second place winner $50. The club winner will then go to the District Competition on March 28th in Terre Haute, where he or she will represent our club and have an opportunity to win $500 for 1st place, $300.00 for 2nd place and $200.00 for 3rd place in prize money.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ROTARY GRANT RECIPIENTS
The Jeffersonville Rotary Club presented $500.00 grants to two very worthy organizations in February. Both exemplify the “Service Above Self” mission orientation of the club.
